As shared by Miriam's House Executive Director, Sarah Quarantotto, "At Miriam’s House we are fiercely committed to ending homelessness and rebuilding lives. Since 1994, we have provided a second chance to more than 2,500 of our homeless neighbors. We currently offer a variety of homeless interventions, all aimed at ensuring that our vulnerable neighbors have the opportunity to rebuild their lives with hope and dignity. Our Community First program serves homeless families with children and unaccompanied youth by providing them with rental housing in the community and in-home supportive services to help them achieve their goals. Our Magnolia Street Supportive Housing program is an on-site program serving chronically homeless women with housing and support. Our Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement (HOME) program provides street outreach services to persons sleeping outdoors, in their car or an abandoned building."
At our May 2022 Come and Be Fed Night, Kristen Nolen shared an educational PowerPoint with us about homelessness in Lynchburg and Miriam's House work to end it. We've linked it on the button below!
