If We Are the "Body," Then...

Adult Sunday School Class, Sundays @ 11:00am

We are all a cast of characters, human and imperfect, yet God has found a place for us - in and as the Body of Christ. God knows that we are all in need of community: Eugene Peterson shares, “Scripture knows nothing of a solitary Christian. People of faith are always members of a community.” The Apostle Paul urges us to encourage each other and build each other up while sharing the spiritual gifts with which God has graced us.

As a start, we will utilize Max Lucado’s “Cast of Characters” Common People in the Hands of an Uncommon God” while leaning on Scripture along with other resources as we grasp fully who we are as the Body of Christ.

Led by Beth and Gary Williams

Ephesians 4:15-16, the Apostle Paul writes:

Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
