FPCLY serves as a host site for a weekly Al-Anon Group. This is a group of inviduals that comes together to help friends of alcoholics or addicts. It is an anonymous group and inviduals may come once, twice, or every week; they will be welcomed with open arms and understanding hearts.
The Al-Anon group meets at FPCLY on Wednesdays at 12:30pm in the Martin-Gifford Room.
Shared from the Al-Anon website, "Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help." We are blessed to partner with Al-Anon in supporting those whose lives have been touched by another's consumption of alcohol.
